Management of Medical Disasters and Mass Casualty Incidents [MCI]. Distance learning educational course with the use of Emergo Train System® [ETS]

Course description

Emergogreece eLearning [iWoC] is the compulsory induction and theoretical part of all educational programs using Emergo Train System [ETS].

In a period of two [2] weeks, trainees in time and place of their discretion, will have to accomplish the courses requirements and learn the principles of Managing Medical Disasters and Mass Casualty Incidents [MCI].

Additionally they will learn the structure and implementation of one of the most widely known and acknowledged doctrine, for managing this kind of incidents, Major Incident Medical Management and Support [MIMMS®].

Finally the participants will familiarise themselves with the educational tool Emergo Train System [ETS] and the particularities of the pedagogical process that has been used in order to simulate large and realistic exercises.

The accomplishment of the course’s requirements is mandatory for someone in order to participate in the clinical part of the combined course.

Number of participants

Participant’s number is dictated by the combined clinical course.

The trainees, can participate in the distance learning alone, without registering in the clinical part of the combined course. In this case, they will given the right to participate in a future course with precedence, in a period of two [2] years.

Cost

The cost is dictated by the combined clinical course. [10% discount for HSPC’s members].

Trainees prerequisites are subject to the combined clinical course.

HSEPC Learning Management Platform [LMP].

Duration of eLearning training

Course duration is two [2] weeks. The educational hours that is needed for successful accomplishment is dictated by the combined clinical course.

Subject to the combined clinical course.

Certification

Certification is provided by Hellenic Society of Emergency Prehospital Care  [HSEPC].

Duration of certification

Two [2] years

Taught skills

Trainees, during distance learning will receive the necessary theoretical knowledge that is needed for their participation in the clinical part of the combined courses.

Course structure

Participants will have to dedicate twelve [12] to twenty [20] hours of distance learning  [subject to combined course].
